Dolpa district is a hidden valley situated beyond the Himalayan region of Nepal. The Dolpa heritage is protected in the silent and amazing region enclosed by the Dhaulagiri Mountain, Kanjiroba and Sisne Mountain and also the Tibetan plateau. The region consists of spectacular ridges, layers of rocks, canyons and hills showing the beauty of Shangri-la of Nepal. Most of the part of the region is protected by the Shey Phokshundo National Park, the largest national park of Nepal. The calm region consists of high passes like Numla pass (5149m) and Bagala pass (5190m). The area protects valuable medicinal herbs, wild blue sheeps, black bear, wolves, snow leopard and varieties of species of birds. The region is an example of religious Harmony which exists between Hindu and Buddhists of the area. The view of Kanjiroba, Phoksundo Lake and Dhaulagiri Mountain rejuvenates the trekkers instantly.
