Dhaulagiri is a reputed destination for the pleasant environment and breathtaking views of the Himalayas, high passes and hidden valleys. Dhaulagiri is a block of pure white ice located in the north-west of Pokhara. The 7th highest mountain in the world is one of the thrilling and adventure filled trek of Nepal and consists of more than 10 peaks all over 7000m. The deepest gorge of the world Kali Gandaki separates Annapurna region from Dhaulagiri Mountain. Starting from Beni, the trek follows the trail to the French pass (5360m) and enters the amazing and wild valley of the region. The endangered species of snow leopard can be seen in the area. From the Dhampus pass, the trail enters into the valley of Kali Gandaki meeting the original trail at Marpha or Tukuche.
