Trekking in Nepal is considered best seasion after the monsoon and after winter season. During autumn, between mid-September to mid-December, the climate is neither hot nor cold and the mountains are most visible thus making this season appropriate for trekking in the Himalayas. Trekking during winter season is only ideal for low elevated mountains as higher elevations bring higher risks of wind and snowfall with colder temperatures. The climatic condition after winter is also preferred as the sun only begins to get warmer and the starting of spring soothe the trekkers into their comfortable zone to hike the high altitude mountains. The blooming period when the landscape is filled with varieties of flowers make the expedition a wonderful journey. June, July and August are monsoon seasons in Nepal with heavy rainfalls that make the trekking unfavorable. But it is an ideal season to trek in the rain shadowed areas of Tibet and desert like region of Nepal like Mustang, Nar-Phu valley and Dolpo.

Trekking is possible through out the whole year. However the best seasons for trekking are either side of the monsoon season Mid march to mid june and mid september to mid december.
