Everest Diamond Jubilee Extreme Marathon

Everest Diamond Jubilee & Tenzing Hillary Marathon has been successful completed on May 29 after all the preparation & acclimatization trekking up to Everest Base Camp.The 60Km Marathon was flagged off at 6 AM in Everest Expedition Base Camp at the height of 5,364 which is the world's Highest Marathon start off point on the day of May 29 itself.

Similarly, Tenzing Hillary Marathon was flagged off at 7 AM in Everest Expedition Base Camp at the height of 5,364, which is the world's Highest Marathon start off point, on the day of May 29 it self.

The 60 Km Marathon was participated by:

- 12 Foreigners

- 5 Nepalese

They ran the World's Highest Uphill Trail Running section between Phortse (3,820m) to Nhala (4,440m) running down through Machherma down to Hillary School at Khumjung & on to Namche Bazaar height at Chorkhang. Nepalese Army scored by grabbing all 1st, 2nd & 3rd position & prize.Similarly, Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon was run by 93 Foreigner, 38 Nepalese Male & 3 Nepalese Female. All Nepalese boys scored by grabbing 1st, 2nd & 3rd position & prize. There was half Marathon in this Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon category where Ms. Gerlinda Schimmel grabbed the position of winner & prize. Similary, there was Foreign & Women category where Mr. Bishnu Bahadur Rana & Ms. Ang Dami Sherpa grabbed the first title.

Overall, the Dimaond Jubilee Celebration Everest Marathon was a great success, cheered by all participants.
